Our telecommunications advisory services for businesses covering:

To check if you are paying too much and to see what you could save, let us do a bill comparison:
Since June 2000 we have provided an impartial business telecoms advice service through www.telecomsadvice.org.uk where impartial or balanced information on all the above technologies and their applications can be found.
Initially we were supported by the University of Sheffield, funded by Oftel and 15 large sponsors. Since Oftel was merged into Ofcom we have become wholly commercially funded by a wide range of large and small advertising sponsors and now also provide commercial telecoms consultant advisory services and brokerage.

Our telecommunications, Internet and ICT consultancy services and brokerage can help you by improving efficiencies and saving costs. We can audit your information communications and technology (ICT) related business processes and usage, analyse your bills and source economical tariffs and discounts from reliable networks and resellers. Our services are generally paid for by standard agency commissions from suppliers, networks and resellers -  it costs you nothing extra!

Whether you're a sole trader or part of a large organisation you may well be paying more than you need for your mobile phone, telephone and Internet communications - or getting less than you should. If you don't have a specialist telecommunications administrator or manager who has time to keep up-to-date with all the tariffs and discounts available from month-to-month then you are probably not getting the best deal.

From month-to-month the various networks and their bulk resellers seek to entice new business by introductory discounts. These discounts usually only apply to new customers or they don't tell you about them - loyalty isn't necessarily rewarded. You can save significant amounts by ensuring you are on the correct tariff with your existing supplier - if you are prepared to switch to another reliable network or use Least Cost Routing (LCR) through a reliable competitive reseller you could save even more. We can analyse your bills, research the market and make all the necessary arrangements for you. Moreover, while we are doing that we can advise on smarter ways of using ICTs to improve your business.

You should be getting inclusive calls (which are not deducted from your bundled minutes) between same account landlines, landlines and mobiles, and mobile to mobile - even between you and your most called numbers which may be external customers or suppliers. And we don't mean poor quality Internet or broadband telephony either - straightforward mainstream exchange and mobile network calls.

To check if you are getting all the benefits you should, or are paying too much and to see what you could save, let us do a bill comparison:
The information we will eventually need can be obtained in a face-to-face meeting, by phone fax or email (whichever you prefer and appropriate to the size of organisation and complexity of usage) and  may include:

Mobile

Land Line

Internet

Other relevant usage and services such as:

We will do a preliminary analysis of the information then call you back if we need any more info and to give you an outline report.

Are you taking advantage of small business applications of  ICTs?
Can your remote office, home or mobile workforce get company email, and access and update company databases in real time?
Secure access, economical open source cross-platform applications are now bringing real benefits at low cost to smaller businesses. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) contact databases, customer accounts, stock levels, order fulfillment and delivery status, real-time Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports and similar management information are all accessible to managers and staff in remote or mobile situations.
Would it help you manage your mobile workforce if you could see where they were by tracking or locating their mobile phones? These are just some of the applications we can help you implement.

If you prefer, or if agency commissions are not an appropriate form of remuneration, we will quote for project management, consultancy or advisory services at rates from £290 per day - a no obligation initial discussion is always at no charge and we will agree at the outset how we will be paid for our services.

Whichever way we work with you we will provide an expert personal service, adding value to your business and reducing costs - email colin.bryant@telecomsadvice.co.uk
